Members-Only Scavenger Hunt Rules: Cash & Prizes Texas Edition
(This is meant to be a family fun game, with lots of giving, so please don’t make it complicated!) 

1. Eligibility, Registration, and Membership 

This is a members driven game of skill, so only verified paid members may participate, claim/win a prize, and receive the clues. Non-members will not receive clues and are not eligible to claim and/or win prizes.  Participants must be paid members before a hunt begins, to claim that hunts prize. Subscribing after you find a prize, on the same day as the hunt, is prohibited. The XPERTS will verify that the prize winner was a  paid member before participating and before the hunt began.  However, signing up the same day as a hunt, before the hunt begins, is acceptable and encouraged!  We WANT YOU to join in the fun!  Our prizes grow bigger as membership grows, so COME ON! Additionally, the longer you are a member, the better chance you will have at the Annual Grand Prize Hunt! 

 

2. Event Duration

Scavenger hunt times and length will vary depending on the type of hunt. Some may take place over multiple days, while others may be “pop-up” hunts for a single evening.  You do not have to participate in every hunt, or every day of a multi-day hunt in order to win.  Members can choose which days to hunt, which clues to solve, and which prizes to go for.  There is a benefit to being a member longer when it comes to the Annual Grand Prize hunt, so the quicker you join, the better chance you have to win, including the BIG ONE!  

 

4. Hunt Structure: Sticker Locations, Boundaries, and Private Property

Stickers featuring the company logo will be hidden in various locations within designated boundaries that have been pre-determined and communicated by the XPERTS (via email, text, etc.) to XTREME Members. These boundaries will be clearly defined and accessible. No stickers are hidden outside of these boundaries. Stickers may be placed in public areas, outdoor spaces, and/or outside venues. Please review the provided boundary guidelines for any restrictions on where you may search, and always respect private property. XTREME hunters will not need to enter a fenced or secured area, go into a closed building, or move any objects. No Tools or Property Removal: Stickers will not be placed in areas that require tools, equipment, or the physical removal of property. Participants should not need to manipulate, damage, or alter any property in order to retrieve or locate the stickers. Stickers will be in public areas only—respect private property and local laws. Any damage to property occurring during an XTREME Scavenger Hunts event shall be the sole responsibility of the participant/member involved. The participant/member agrees to indemnify and hold harmless XTREME Scavenger Hunts for any such damages.

 

You may, however, need to look under structures such as park benches, picnic tables, playground equipment (i.e. swing seat), etc.  "Look high and low- it doesn’t matter, but remember- you won’t need a ladder." Don’t make this complicated!

5. Finding Stickers 

The goal is to find stickers with the XTREME Logo. Some will be tangible and we will ask you to bring them back to us at a location disclosed only to members.  Some (especially larger prizes) will have a unique 4-digit code. The code will complete a phone number that was sent to XTREME Members. Only paid members will receive the final color of the sticker and logo, the clues, and other pertinent information regarding the hunt and how to claim your prize. Remember, this is a game of skill, and the XPERTS will make it fun! So BE READY! 

 

6. Code Submission & Verification Using the Phone Number 

Use the 4 digit code to contact The XPERTS for verification of your location, membership status, and for review of any rules violations.  If verified, The XPERTS will provide a FUN and UNIQUE phrase with instructions on where and how to claim the prize. DO NOT FORGET THE PHRASE!  YOU MUST KNOW IT!  The XPERTS will ensure the hunt is valid, that the winner is a current paid member, and did not violate any rules before releasing the unique phrase and further instructions. Prizes will be awarded the same day and in the same town as the XTREME hunt took place, so don’t worry, YOU WILL GET YOUR PRIZE and/or CASH!   

 

7. Clue Distribution & Verification

This is a members supported game!  XTREME members will receive clues via their cell phones at the “clue drop time”, which will be clearly communicated to members prior to the hunt.  Sharing clues with non-members is strictly prohibited, reduces your chances of winning, and ruins the game for paid members. The XPERTS may monitor and verify that no clues are shared with non-members via any media or social platform. Immediate disqualification will occur if clues are shared with non-members. The XPERTS will be watching! 

 

8. Code of Conduct

Participants must act ethically and must respect others. Any tampering or cheating results in disqualification. No rude, threatening, harassing, vulgar, or unruly behavior will be tolerated during the hunt.  This is a fun event designed to engage family and friends.  The XPERTS will monitor for rule violations and disqualify anyone who shares clues or acts improperly.  Don't spoil it for everyone else!  Just have fun and ENJOY THE HUNT!  The XPERTS will be watching! 

 

9. Team/Family Participation

This is a family fun adventure, so family teams are allowed.  Each team member over the age of 17 must be a verified paid member, unless the “Family Plan” has been purchased. The Family Plan allows for families of 7 or less, consisting of up to 2 adults age 17 and over, and up to 5 minors under age 17, living under the same roof, to participate. Families must designate one person/member from their immediate family, who is participating, to submit verification and claim a prize.  If the family plan has been purchased, the entire family can join in on the prize collection and celebration with The XPERTS. Collaboration with non-members is prohibited. The prize winner will be verified as a current paid member before the hunt began, as well as, all other team members over age 17 for non-family teams (for families, verification of the Family Plan will be checked)! Family is defined as those living in the same household under the same roof, and will be capped at 7 (2 adults and 5 minors) unless prior approval is given by THE XPERTS. Don’t make this complicated! 

 

11. *Cash and Prize Structure

Since this is a member and participation driven business, XTREME Scavenger Hunts, LLC makes no guarantee of a minimum amount that will be paid out over the course of a year, or for any planned or advertised hunt, including the $10K Grand Prize Hunt.  Prizes may consist of both cash and/or other physical prizes. The specific prize structure and actual prize amounts will vary for each hunt, and will be announced by THE XPERTS, prior to the hunt, to all members via email and/or text.  The XPERTS have a huge heart for giving, so the more members who join, the larger the prizes will become, and the larger the XTREME Give Backs will be.  We will, however, honor prize amounts for each specific hunt, as communicated to our members, and/or advertised on the events page of our website, at the time the hunt actually begins. All prizes and cash will be awarded after each hunt the same day. By accepting a prize, you agree and authorize XTREME Scavenger Hunts, LLC to use your likeness and image on any and all of their social media platforms for marketing purposes. Prize amounts may grow as membership grows! So spread the word to your friends, family, and followers!   

 

12. The XPERTS & Disqualification

The XPERTS will verify winners have followed all rules. Violations of the rules (cheating, sharing clues with non-members, harassment, destruction of property, etc.) will result in disqualification. The XPERTS decisions are final.

 

13. Communication & Updates

Clues and updates will be sent to participants via [email/text/VM]. XPERTS will notify paid members of rule changes. Rules may be modified at any time, but changes will be communicated promptly to paid members.

 

14. Liability, Safety & Waiver

Participants are responsible for their safety. XTREME Scavenger Hunts, LLC, or any of its affiliates, associates, partners, and sponsors are not liable for injuries, losses, or damages. Always follow local traffic laws and exercise caution.  By participating in the scavenger hunt, participants waive their right to sue or litigate XTREME Scavenger Hunts, LLC, The XPERTS, and anyone affiliated with the company, including but not limited to employees, partners, and sponsors, for any reason related to the event.  

 

15. Terms, Conditions, and Cancellations 

By participating, you agree to abide by these rules. XTREME Scavenger Hunts, LLC and The XPERTS reserve the right to amend or modify the rules at any time, without notice, but will communicate changes to paid members. There are no contracts. You are choosing to participate by your own will. Subscriptions are non-refundable but can be canceled at any time, effective with the next billing cycle. Cancellations must be requested via email at xtremescavengerhunts@gmail.com.  By canceling, you are not eligible for member perks, benefits, or participating in hunts, including the NYE Grand Prize Hunt.  Participation does not guarantee you will win. This is a family fun game of skill, speed, whit, and determination.
